This September, we will be starting a new Fall Sermon and Small Group series we are calling God Has A Name. Inspired by a John Mark Comer book by that same name, we’ll be diving into one of the most important questions we can ask, “Who is God?” Is God a he, a she, a they, or an it? Is God a force or a person? Is God good or evil? Strong or weak? Close or far away? What is God like? Everyone has a picture of God in their minds, but we want to go to the source.
So over much of the Fall, we will patiently walk through just two verses, Exodus 34:6-7 which is God’s self-disclosure of Himself. These are the most quoted verses in in the Bible, by the Bible. In these verses, we will discover that God has a Name: Yahweh. And we’ll discover that this God is so different than our typical ideas of God, but far better than we could ever imagine. This can be a massive game changer in how we relate to God.
Series launches on Sunday, September 20th. Our small groups will be following along week by week.
What is a Small Group?
Small Groups are groups of around 7-14 people that meet regularly to share their lives, encourage one another, serve together, pray together and learn more about Jesus and His teachings.
When and where do Small Groups meet?
We have groups meeting in many areas around the Tri-Cities. Most groups meet weekly or every other week.
