Looking Ahead
This renovation is a significant project for a church our size, and not one to be taken lightly. However, we believe it is a necessary one, and the project has been prayerfully considered. Deuteronomy 31:8 says ‘The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.’ And so we move ahead in faith.
We believe that the Hillside story is still being written, and this is a step in allowing the church to become even more of a place where His love can be shared. Hillside has seen, time and time again, that God is able to do so much more than we can ask or imagine, so we are stepping out in faith, believing that God will do great things.
It’s Our Turn
Hillside is made up of a community of people who live out the love of God and believe in connecting with one another and serving through a wide variety of ways. We believe that by investing in the facility in this way, it can continue to be a space where people come to be filled, to learn, to love, and to grow.
60 years ago, a community of people of faith took a risk that we have all benefited from. It is our time to be able to be part of the story that will impact not only our community of today, but those in the decades to come. Hillsiders are being called to consider what their part will be in this story, what role they will play – and are being invited to in the exciting work that God has placed before us. We are not 100% sure of what the future looks like in this ever changing world, but we do know that we are to play a role in this part of the Hillside story, creating a foundation for all of the wonderful works that God has in store for us and for the Tri-Cities community!
